We are in the process of becoming a
Green Sanctuary

Big complicated problems like global warming can wake us up at night -- but the best way to handle worry is to get moving and do something.   None of us can solve a problem like global warming by ourselves.

There are lots of ways to be involved with the Green Sanctuary team at Eastrose. 

You can join one of the task forces for change:

• Carpooling:  With gas prices rising, it would be great if we could organize a church carpool.  We need some fresh thinking about how to do this.  It would also benefit those who don't drive anymore or don't have transportation.  What a great way to build community!

• Entertainment:  There are some great Green Movies that would be fun to see together! 

• Food:  This congregation has a farmer, an organic food distributor and lots of knowledgeable people that care about what they eat and are critical of the industrial food system.  What could we do around this important area that would be fun and, dare I say, tasty!

• Your idea here:  Maybe you have a thing about lightbulbs, or childrens religious education, or Sunday services.  Come and talk to me about your idea.  Green sanctuary is a big tent.
