Adult Membership
Membership
in Eastrose Fellowship is open to any persons in accord with our
purpose and mission who have attained the age of sixteen. It is
desirable for prospective members to attend an orientation session to
acquaint themselves with the principles of Unitarian Universalism and
with the rights and responsiblities of membership. Neither
subscription to creed nor participation in ceremony is required to
become a membership of this fellowship
Our purpose is to join together in a cooperative quest for
religious truth and ethical values in accord with the Principles and
Purposes of the Unitarian Universalist Association. We covenant
to provide an open-minded caring community, to support ethical values,
and to nurture the emotional, spiritual, and intellectual needs of our
member.
Our mission is to nourish a liberal religious community in
East Multnomah County, to respect and celebrate the diversity inherent
in humankind, and to bring the hope-filled message of Unitarian
Universalism into our community and our world.
A Member's responsibility is to support and strengthen this
congregation with time, effort, and financial contributions. See
the Minister or a member of the Board of Trustees for a Membership Form
to fill out and sign. The next step is for the Board of Trustees
to vote on your membership. After that, a welcoming ceremony is
held at a mutually convenient Sunday service to sign the Membership
Book and exchange greetings with the Congregation.

Children
Children's Family Membership.
The children in a family joining Eastrose sign their own Membership
Book and share in the ceremony of joining and celebration
Religious Education See RE Director Katie Ten Eyck to register your child. Registration is free, but very important to have on record your child's data about allergies or food sensitivities, contact numbers, etc.
Child Dedications
Any Eastrose parent desiring to have their child or children dedicated
during a Sunday service is urged to contact Reverend Maynard or RE Director
Katie Ten Eyck. While we can do this ritual any time, we especially offer
it for Easter, Mother's Day and on RE Sunday.
Families often arrange for grandparents and god-parents to be present, so
planning ahead can help.
