The News
A few articles appearing in "The Petals" are shown here.  Often articles submitted to the Petals editor are too lengthy to fit into the paper version of the newsletter.
They are printed in their entirety on the website.  On the other hand, much of what is in the paper Petals is not online.

Spectrum!  March Film Fest  -
A new committee called Spectrum! will be Eastrose's LGBTQ (Lesbian, gay, bi, trans, queer) group for friends, family and the LGBTQ members to discuss, inform and provide outreach to the membership and community. The Social Committee has asked Spectrum! to come up with four different movies to be played Sunday afternoons in March. Titles will be selected soon. We will invite other churches and community members to come and learn about LGBTQ people and have a discussion after each movie. It will allow people to have a deeper appreciation for their fellow friends.
Being a new committee there are a lot of things to discuss. Interested folks are invited to develop a purpose for the group and ways that to involve our fellow members and the community in the LGBTQ community. The next meeting is after church on February 7. We need YOUR help to vote for the four movies shown in March. We'll have a final discussion at the February 7th meeting. It's important that we make our decision as soon as possible, to allow the Social Concerns Committee to help promote this event. Contact Bob or Ben Kincaid for more information about Spectrum!

If you can help, contact our Treasurer Kathie Loveall or the Generosity Committee Chair Larry Adams.
