Springtime

Looking out my window right now, I feel like winter plans to be with us for a while yet; however, my calendar says Spring is only a couple of weeks away. Daylight savings time will occur on March 12. Spring bulbs are above ground and growing. Grocery store entryways are a riot of blooming daffodils and fragrant hyacinths. Easter comes early this year, just a little over a month away as I write this.

Ahh…Spring energy! Spring cleaning in both house and garden. Eastrose could use some cleaning up too, so please plan to serve your church community when we schedule the cleanup days. If everyone showed up for just an hour or two, what a difference it would make.

I’m eager to be planting flowers and herbs in my garden at home. It won’t be long before I will be lugging home plants.

In coming weeks we all will be asked to serve our community by pledging for our new fiscal year, which begins July 1. Please give as generously as you are able. Think of it as springtime planting in order to reap a harvest in coming months.
