Eastrose Auction 2025 – Update

Tradition, Celebration, Remembrance.
Dia de Los Muertos at Eastrose: A Vibrant Celebration of Community!

Our 31st Annual Eastrose Auction was a joyful, spirited celebration of life, love, and community. The hall glowed with color and connection, from the beautiful ofrenda table adorned with family photos and flameless tealights to the lively hum of laughter, conversation, and friendly bidding. Micah’s jazzy keyboard kept the mood bright, his playful flourishes cheering on every win, while Char and Cynthia hammed it up as our high-spirited auctioneers. Suzie sparkled as mistress of ceremonies, and Toni, one of our newer members, jumped in with both feet, playing a key role in organizing. Keene lent us both his brain and his muscle, Carol organized the delicious food everyone enjoyed, and Katie was our own Frida, bringing flair to our fundraising. Phyllis, Larry, Karen, and Jude served as capable cashiers, raffle ticket sellers, and faithful data recorders, while Jean, John, Kim, and others brought beauty and warmth to the decorations. Many worked tirelessly behind the scenes, wearing many hats and making light work of a big effort. Of course, we couldn’t have done it without our fabulous donors, whose generosity filled the tables and hearts alike.

Thanks to everyone’s enthusiasm and good humor, we far surpassed our expectations, netting more than three times our original forecast. The Lightning Round alone raised $2,250, half of which will benefit Mt. Hood Hospice. Donors and winning bidders will receive notifications about their purchases in the next day or so, so keep an eye on your inbox. It was truly a night of joy, remembrance, and generosity, an event that captured the heart (and laughter) of Eastrose. Thank you to everyone who donated, volunteered, or bid their hearts out.
