Are you interested in walking an easy path with Eastrosarians on Saturday morning? Does the word “hike” sounds overly-ambitous for you? Maybe you’ve got little ones you’d like to include. Maybe a four-footed little one. Let’s stroll together! Then you can go home and tick “took a walk” on your To Do list! It’s just that easy!
We’re interested in locations with these qualities:
- Easy Terrain
- Fully Accessible (wheelchairs, canes, wheeled strollers, walkers/walking frames, crutches, etc.)
- Family Friendly
- Animal Friendly
- Free Parking
- Local
We meet at Eastrose at 11am and decide on our destination a group before leaving on our easy walk. RSVP by emailing the office before Wednesday evening if you plan on joining us. Suggestions welcome!
Stroll Dates – check this page on “walk mornings” for confirmation the walk is happening
- Saturday, January 17 – We’re off for an easy stroll (to Nadaka Park? or somewhere else?), weather permitting.
- Current Status: We’re on!
Suggested Strolls (email suggestions to the office)
- Spada Trail: New paved flat trail. Land was donated by the Spada family, so I call it the Spada trail. Wheelchair accessible. Out & back. Goes along the slough, good for bird watching. East starting point is 185th just north of Sandy. Must park on the side street a couple blocks north of starting point (see X on map). Submitted by Mary R.
