This Sunday Eastrose will debut a new service format titled Spiritual Touchstones. The day’s topic will be “Faith: A Process That Influences the Way We Live.” Spiritual Touchstones will be on the fourth Sunday of every month.
This will be a quieter, more intimate format. It will feature opening words, chalice lighting, a reading, and a Story for All Ages. The congregation will form three groups and meet in different rooms to discuss four questions lead by facilitators. We will rejoin in the chapel to pass the basket, sing our gratitude song, extinguish the chalice, and say the benediction.
Simplicity is a key element in this new format. The congregation will sing a cappella. The service will be in person only — not amplified, projected, recorded or live-streamed. Musicians and AV personnel will not be present.
As always, there will be coffee!!
