“This Little Light of Mine; I’m gonna let it shine.”  We sing these words, but what is this light and what are we to do with it?  Marjorie explores the light within each of us and how we might tend it so that we may use it with courage to light our way and shine a light for others.

Marjorie Speirs is a lay speaker from the UU Church of Vancouver AND is a 30-plus-year member of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Vancouver. She enjoys preaching from time-to-time at UUCV and other UU congregations and is a trained spiritual director.  Marjorie practiced law in Portland for 35 years and calls herself a recovering attorney. In addition to her law degree, she holds a Master’s Degree in Applied Theology from Marylhurst University.  In retirement, Marjorie writes, gardens, and enjoys her four pre-school grandchildren.
