Sharing the Bounty (STB) is our community partner program in which we share our congregational offering (half of the basket collected each Sunday) to an organization doing good works in our area. We also occasionally work together to create a service project for them.

Portland Immigrant Rights Coalition (PIRC) has been chosen by the Eastrose board to be our Sharing the Bounty partner from March 1, 2026 through August 31, 2026!

SnowCap Community Services

Eastrose Board has chosen SnowCap to be our Sharing the Bounty partner from September 2025 through February 2026! We’ve had a long relationship with SnowCap, helping the organization get started in the 1960s. We look to deepen our partnership in the next months.

 SnowCap Community Services
is a philanthropic organization created to provide food, clothing,
advocacy and other services to our neighbors in need.

Created in the 1960’s by pastors, who thought that this area was not well served by social service agencies, SnowCap is now a broad base community service organization. SnowCap helps with food, clothing and other basic human needs. They serve people who live east of 82nd Avenue and within Multnomah County:

  • Currently distributing pre-packed boxes and as much fresh/frozen foods as possible. Families are welcomed to come 2x per month as announced.
  • Clothes for the whole family, currently it is open by appointment and families are welcome once a month.
  • Community Garden for low-income families to raise their own vegetables

Throughout the year, Eastrose holds work parties at SnowCap on the first Friday of each month. We are in an open air warehouse and mask as appropriate. Contact the office for more information.

Outgrowing Hunger

Nurturing connection to nature, food, and community, Outgrowing Hunger builds and operates community farms and gardens for refugees, immigrants, and people who care about affordable access to real food in Portland and Gresham.

The money we raise will be used to purchase produce from their refugee & immigrant farmers. The fresh veggies will then be incorporated into lunches for the 40-60 low income kids who are participating in the summer camp at Nadaka Park, which is hosted by Play-Grow-Learn. It’s a win-win-win situation.
