While there is no federal aid for families receiving SNAP benefits, there will be a significantly higher need for food and other assistance in the coming months.

Thanksgiving 2025 Meals

SnowCap is providing neighbors in our community food for Thanksgiving

  • SnowCap will be serving meals to 900 people
  • They’re raising $3.000 to bring meal costs to $3.33/plate
  • Donations in cash provide the best means for them to purchase seasonally-appropriate perishable and non-perishable food. Of course they gratefully accept donated food; for this event cash is preferred.


Fall/Winter 2025:
They’re also looking for warm winter clothing:

  • Coats
  • Hats
  • Scarves
  • Socks

How to Donate Cash

  • Donate cash directly to SnowCap
  • Donate cash in the Sunday Basket. Place cash in an envelope labeled for SnowCap and be sure to include your name. You may place the envelope in the Sunday Basket, or bring it to Jessica H. or the office.
