At Eastrose Fellowship Unitarian Universalist, all are welcome to participate in our congregational life. Whether you’re exploring Unitarian Universalism or ready to deepen your commitment, we offer two meaningful ways to connect more formally: as a Member or as a Friend.

When you choose to become a Member or a Friend, you affirm your support of a vital, liberating institution that upholds the worth and dignity of every person, cares for our planet, and works toward justice and compassion in our world. You’ll join a larger spiritual movement committed to love, peace, and welcome, and your presence will enrich our community.

Members
Becoming a Member means entering into a covenant with our congregation and affirming the values of Unitarian Universalism. As a Member, you have voting privileges at our annual meeting and any special congregational meetings, and you may serve in leadership roles such as on the Board of Trustees or committees.

Membership involves a commitment to support Eastrose with your time, talents, and treasure. We ask Members to make an annual financial contribution that is meaningful to them and within their means. We have a minimum requirement of $60 a year.
Members are also invited to nurture our fellowship through compassion, imagination, openness, and generosity of spirit.

Membership Eligibility

Anyone age 18 or older is welcome to become a Member. To join, we ask that you either attend a membership orientation session or schedule a conversation with our minister, Rev. Robin Zucker, to explore the principles of Unitarian Universalism and how Eastrose lives out this faith tradition. New Members affirm their commitment by signing our Membership Book—a symbolic and meaningful act of joining this spiritual community.

Friends

If you’re not ready to become a Member but feel a connection to Eastrose, you may consider becoming a Friend. Friends are individuals who have accepted our covenant and participate regularly in worship services, events, or programs.

As a Friend of Eastrose, you are warmly welcomed into the life of the congregation. We invite you to attend Sunday worship, enroll children and youth in our programs, join adult discussion groups, participate in social justice efforts, and enjoy our community events. Many Friends also make financial contributions to support the continued vitality of our worship, programs, and mission.
